International Darts Open: Van Gerwen, Price, Van Veen all in action as Bunting begins title defense at Riesa | Darts news

Stephen Bunting: Premier League Darts

Stephen Bunting is looking for his first European Tour title of the season as he begins his International Darts Open title defense this weekend in Riesa, Germany.

The reigning champion will face either Krzysztof Ratajski or Cristo Reyes in the first round, while No. 1 seed and defending European champion Gian Van Veen will play Conor Scutt or Finn Behrens.

The draw also allows for a potential English matchup in the second round, with No. 3 seed James Wade potentially coming up against eight-time European Tour winner Dave Chisnall early in the competition.

Michael van Gerwen is also in action against Madars Razma or Gyorgy Jehirszki, while Gerwyn Price looks for a record fifth International Darts Open crown against Ryan Joyce or Jeffrey Sparidaans in his European Tour return.
