The browser you love reintroduced with AI

Back in 2008, when we launched Chrome, we started building a browser that was faster, safer, stable and open. Thus, Chrome helped set the standard for speed and security and kick -started a new era with webinnovation.

Today we take another critical step in our journey to make the internet better by making your browser smarter. This is not just about adding new features; It’s all about changing the nature of browsing and moving from a passive experience to a more proactive and intelligent. It’s about creating a browser that goes beyond reproducing the Internet to someone who understands it helps you be more productive and keep you safer online.

In today’s behind the browser we shared our vision for how we bring this to life with AI. We build an AI-centrated browser that uses context-like the page you are reading, or the tabs you have open-to help you get things done faster, easier and more secure than ever.

We do this in three new ways.

A new way to get things to with your AI -Browsing Assistant

Imagine that you are a student who is investigating a topic for a paper and you have dozens of tabs open. Instead of spending hours jumping between sources and trying to connect the dots, your new AI -Browsing Assistant – Gemini in Chrome – can do it for you. Gemini can answer questions about articles, find references in YouTube videos and will soon be able to help you find pages you’ve visited so you can download exactly where you left off.

Rolling out to Mac and Windows users in the US with their language set to English, Gemini in Chrome can understand the context of what you are doing across multiple tabs, answer questions and integrate with other popular Google services, such as Google Docs and Calendar. And it will soon be available on both Android and iOS so you can ask questions and summarize pages while on the go.

We also develop more advanced agent capacities for Gemini in Chrome that can perform multi-step tasks for you from start to finish, such as ordering groceries. You remain in control as Chrome handles the dull work and transforms 30 minutes of duties into 3-click users.

More personal and powerful help ranging from omnibox

We also make the Chrome address beam, which we call Omnibox, even smarter with AI mode, our most powerful AI search. You can use AI mode to ask complex questions with multiple parts, from the same place you are already looking for and browsing the Internet. You can then dive deeper by asking follow -up questions and exploring relevant weblink.

We also add search suggestions in omnibox that are contextually relevant to the page you are on. For example, if you shop for a mattress, Omnibox may suggest follow -up searches such as “What is the guarantee policy?” This gets a few information from Chrome Omnibox simpler than ever before, helping you navigate the web with the best of Google AI by your side.

Contextual proposals are now available in the United States, and AI mode in Omnibox will be rolled out in the United States later this month. Both of these features start with support for inquiries in English and will expand to more countries and languages in the coming weeks.

AI that keeps you more secure

None of this means anything without security. We continue to expand the way we use AI to keep you protected: Safe Filling Login Legitimation Information with Chrome AutoFill, proactively blocking new types of fraud, helping you solve security issues such as compromised passwords and spammy messages and simplify some confidentiality decisions such as giving sensitive permissions.

And it works: Thanks to AI-powered warnings, Chrome users on Android now receive approx. 3 billion fewer fraud and spammy site messages a day.

These are just a few of the improvements we announced today.

The browser is no longer just a window for the net; It is an intelligent partner who teaches and adapts to your needs. This next era with Chrome is about making the Internet even more useful, safer and more intuitive. On behalf of the team, thank you for joining the trip.
