DP World Tour: Amgen Irish Open to be held on Donald Trump-owned course and new European event added to 2026 ran to the DUBAI plan | Golf news

The Amgen Irish Open is held on a Donald Trump-owned course for the first time as part of the DP World Tours record-tier 2026 schedule.

At least 42 races to Dubai tournaments will take place in 25 different countries next season, where players will compete for – excl. Majors – A record price fund of $ 157.5 million (£ 116m).

The Irish Open – last won in spectacular way by Rory McIlroy – is held at Trump International Golf Links Ireland in Doonbeg from 10-13. September next year, making it the latest Trump -owned course to host a professional golf event.

Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen hosted the Nexo championship in 2025, while Blue Monster Course at Trump National Doral returns to the PGA Tour calendar -after a 10 -year absence -next year to the Miami Championship.

A new event of 2026 DP World Tour plan sees Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship, starting the European turn from May 7 to 10, taking place at Real Club de Golf El Prat in Barcelona ahead of Spain, hosting the 2031 Ryder Cup.

PGA Tours Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic also contains on the race to Dubai for the first time from July 16 to 19, with the Isco championship – held the previous week – also co -sanctioned between both trips.

The five Rolex Series events will remain the same in 2026, starting with Hero Dubai Desert Classic from 22 to 25 January, with Genesis Scottish Open again co-sanctioned with due tour from 9 to 12 July.

The BMW PGA Championship contains from 17 to 20 September, a week later than 2025, while the 2026 race to the Dubai champion will be crowned after the Abu Dhabi Championship from November 5 to 8 and DP World Tour Championship from November 12 to 15.

Changes in the DP World Tour membership mean that only the 100 best players in the race for Dubai locations will maintain full membership in the 2027 season, 10 fewer than earlier on offer, while only the 15 best players in the Hotel Planner Tour -To -Tour tour 2026 will receive their DP World Tour card.
