Hull FC won their first home game in the 2025 Super League season with a Gutsy 16-10 win over Wakefield Trinity at MKM Stadium.
The Blacks and Whites had lost 11 and pulled one since they last prevailed at MKM Stadium on July 20 last year, and Max Jowitt’s 10-point move in the first half left them against it again.
But Zak Hardaker, Jordan Rapana and Lewis Martin all touched within a dozen the second half of the minute, with Jack Charles, who converted twice, to seal Hull’s first win in eight attempts in 2025 on their own patch.
All of Hull’s previous eight wins in this campaign had come on the road, noteworthy to keep them in violation of a top-six finish, but they overcome a mistreated first 40 minutes on Thursday to demand some overdue home comfort.
They appeared to have moved on in the second minute when Harvey Barron dived into the right corner, but the trial was excluded when Jed Cartwright’s Assist was asked to have progressed.
Amir Bourouh then made a few mistakes at The Ruck, which did not appear expensive, but Liam Knight’s indiscipline by the play, as the ball was when Jowitt got Wakefield up and ran with a 35-yard punishment.
He shared the posts again when Brad Fash hindered Josh Rourke by the play ball to punish Hull’s repeated mistakes before they then put daylight between the teams in the 37th minute.
Harvey Smith was the architect when he took advantage of a gaping gap through the center of Hull before setting up the supportive Jowitt, who Tønder over during the positions of his 11 -trial and then added extras.
Hull seemed rejuvenated over the resumption, and while Sam Eseh was fumbling after holding up on the line, hardaker dug over from the dummy half of the 55th minute and carry three defenders with him.
Eseh was then unable to collect Cartwright’s offoad clean with the line gaping, but Hull continued to pour forward and Knight went to Rapana to bundle through Jowitt and Jayden Myers to score right right after the hourly.
Hull then had their third attempt in quick order when Martin sacked his 13th season, which eventually proved to be crucial.
The wing put the last touch to a floating feature along the left and turns on through four defenders to push the ball across the line in the corner.
