The cultural tone of the entire ecosystem has changed wildly in the last few years. “Bitcoin -Maksimalists” have essentially disappeared in the background of having any cultural influence or influence at all.
Dominant tales, actual actions and real influence have been completely dominated by either Suitcoiners, clowns Wall Street types that build the exact same kind of degenerate geared financial products at the top of Bitcoin causing the financial crisis of 2008 or degener, completely degenerate regularly occupied Cypherpunks with a moronic fix Ownership of JPEG’s -preserved to the joined person who was sent.
It is frankly kind of disgusting and embarrassing that things have come to this point in this space. All meaningful drivers for growth and adoption draw people into a culture of brain death that thinks completely devoid of any understanding or grasp of the true value that Bitcoin offers, censorship resistance and decentralization, or a culture of using these things for the stupidest most meaningless driving force that can be imagined, rather than truly effective uses that can change life in a positive way.
But here we are nevertheless.
These two opposite and self -reinforcing echo chambers dominate the scene. They run the biggest booths that initiate new participants in the ecosystem. Yes, individuals can and will go their own way, and some newcomers may stumble some of them, but most not. Most will win up after Suitcoiners or Degens.
In political reality I will stand with Degens.
All they engage in is crazy, moronic, meaningless imaginary rubbish, but at least they value and understand censorship and the decentralization that creates it. They appreciate the value of self -preserving and tools that allow them to do what they want with their own money without having to seek permission from another.
Suitcoiners understand none of these things. They don’t care about self -retention. They believe that decentralization is just a magical buzzword or a characteristic set in granite rather than a dynamic property that can ebb and flow. They don’t care about the value a censorship -resistant unstoppable monetary network can bring to society. They are just interested in making dollars in the safe brick garden in the older system.
Bitcoin begins to lose all the qualities that give it a chance to reset the world, to create a level and neutral rules of the game for everyone if its decentralization eroded away. Without these things, it will be nothing but a button asset that is trapped in the legacy of Wallaced Garden. No permitted money, no original currency on the Internet, just a new Stonk -people buy as an S&P index fund.
This is the direction that Suitcoiners will take us with if they are not controlled or not set up. So creepy I have to sit with degens. I may have nothing in common with them except an actual appreciation and consideration of censorship resistance, but that’s what really matters at the end of the day.
