AANHPI Heritage Month comes to life across Google

This Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebrates the cultures, traditions and stories of the Asian and Pacific Islander communities with Google. And get to know the creators who weave their heritage into their work.

Meet the man behind the music

Born in India and raised in the US, genre-defying singer-songwriter Talwiinder built a cross-continental fan base by blending her Punjabi roots with modern electric and R&B music.

For the music video for his latest track, ”Dil Mera Part 2,” Talwiinder wanted to match the song’s transgressive energy, marrying his innovative sound with a medieval aesthetic. As part of our recent Google Flow collaboration, Talwiinder and filmmaker Bowdhitya bridged the gap between fantasy and reality by using Flow to bring intricate sequences of water and fire to life.

The result was breathtaking. “Some of the pictures and details are just amazing,” Talwiinder said. “Especially when the character goes and the fire and the water, the crispness, the detail is next level.”

See their AI-powered artistry in action in the full music video and go behind the scenes to learn how it was made.
