No-bake raspberry cheesecake-with a high protein-twist

4-ingredient raspberry cheese cake-with a high protein twist | MyFitnessPal

Ah, cheese cake. There is something about the creamy filling paired with the buttery crumbling crust that is just impossible to resist. Of course, you can always have your cheese cake and eat it too (after all, it’s all about balance!). But if you want to satisfy your sweet tooth with something a little more nutritional tight, you can do just that with this creative recipe without bake cheese cake.

MyFitnessPal collaborated with foodie and content creator Michelle Chen from @Run2food to develop a protein -packed cheese cake that is as macro -friendly as it is delicious. High in protein requires the single-server vegan recipe only four ingredients and takes less than five minutes to make.

“In my opinion, all the flavors from cheese cake have: biscuity base, creamy slightly sour center and pops of raspberries on top!” Michelle felt on the sponsored Instagram post and shared a step-by-step video on how to whip the tasty Godbit. She added, “It’s my new fave easy dessert.”

Below is Michelle’s health recipe without bake cheese cake along with exactly what makes it such a smart choice the next time you get a sucked after something sweet.

Are high protein desserts good for you?

There is a reason why high protein treats are in all health influencer’s “What I Eat In A Day” post on Instagram these days. Protein is an essential macronutrient that keeps your body functioning optimally. It can improve bone health, build and strengthen muscles and increase your metabolism. A study even found that eating more protein can lead to eating healthier in general.

Michelle’s high protein cheese cake gives you 31 grams of yogurt and vegan protein powder. She uses the vanilla plant-based protein powder from the Australian supplementary company Macro Mike, but you can use a protein powder you choose.

Don’t forget to track your protein intake-together with calories and other macros-in myfitnesspal app (Ahem, also Michelle’s Go-to Macro Tracker to all her recipes!).

Other healthy ingredient exchanges

Makes cheese cake without sugar? Yes, it’s possible, and yes, Michelle managed to do it. With zero added sugar, her dessert gets her sweetness from vanilla protein powder and the frozen raspberries. She also notes that you can add maple syrup if you want it even sweeter. Maple syrup has more minerals and antioxidants and a lower glycemic index than white sugar.

This recipe is also lower in fat than “plain” cheese cake. Instead of cream cheese and cream fraiche and both, both are fat and calories upweold it to dairy-free yogurt to give the coveted silky structure. Michelle uses plain sojayoghurt filled with protein, vitamins and bowel-boosting probiotics. Our dietitians are big fans of Greek yogurt, which can give the recipe an even bigger protein punch.
