And for that, we bring you this healthy single-serve brownie recipe.
MyFitnessPal collaborated with the well-known foodie and content creator Michelle Chen from @run2food To develop this delicious vegan and gluten -free dessert. If you do not follow a vegan diet, you can easily replace the alternative milk and vegan protein powder to match your dietary preferences.

The benefits of high protein desserts
Michelle’s single-serve brownie recipe is macropusous, filled with 26 grams of protein (to compare, a 3-ounce serving chicken breast has 24 grams). But why is it so important – and why are so many recipes for protein desserts recently?
To start, Protein is a necessary Macronutrient. And no, it’s not just for bodybuilders and serious athletes. We all need protein for proper development and basic bodily functions including Strengthen bones, build -up of muscles and maintaining healthy tissues and organs.
In this particular single-serve brownie recipe, Michelle uses a vegan chocolate protein powder from Australian supplement brand Macro Mike Like her protein source. You can use any preferred chocolate protein powder for the recipe.

What else does this chocolate fudge brownie “healthy”?
Michelle replaces white sugar and uses several natural sweeteners, including banana and maple syrup. Bananas is a great source of potassium and other vitamins. And maple syrup Has more minerals and antioxidants than refined sugar.
She also uses almond milk as a vegan and plant -based alternative to dairy milk. Almond milk is Lower in calories than regular milk. It is also a good source of vitamin E that can help Reduce inflammation.
6-ingredient healthy chocolate fudge recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 medium mature banana (~ 60g)
- 1 scoop (40g) chocolate protein powder
- 1 tbsp (5g) cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) maple syrup
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) almond milk (can use any milk or just water)
- 2 tbsp (25 g) dark chocolate chips + extra to on top if you wish
Instructions:
- Mash the ripe banana in a bowl until it is pureed.
- Add protein powder, cocoa powder, maple syrup and milk. Mix until the protein powder is dissolved.
- Add chocolate chips.
- Transfer the dough to a microwave -proof Ramekin. Optional: Garnish with extra chocolate chips on top.
- Microwave oven for 90 seconds or baked in the oven for approx. 12 minutes at 180 degrees C/ 360 degrees F.
- Dig in and enjoy!
